Rheometrics Fluids Analyzer (RFX):  The RFX measures extensional viscosities for low steady shear viscosity materials. The fluid of interest is loaded into the cup and the machine pulls liquid into the opposing jets, which creates extensional flow just outside the jets. As fluid is pulled into the jets, the force on one jet is measured and the software then converts the data to an extensional viscosity.

TA Instruments ARES-LSII:  The TA ARES can measure steady and dynamic shear properties such as steady shear viscosity, complex viscosity, storage modulus (G'), loss modulus (G“) as well as time to gelation and temperature dependence. The Ares uses various shape and sized tools including: parallel plates; cone and plate; couette; and an optical couette for flow birefrigence studies.

TA Instruments Solids Analyzer RSAIII:  The TA RSA can measure single point or sweep (frequency, strain, or temperature sweep plus combos of each) measurements of strain versus stress as well as other properties for solid or partially gel samples. The RSA is capable of sub-zero temperatures using a special liquid N2 attachment.

Anton-Paar MCR-300:  The MCR300 can measure steady and dynamic shear properties such as steady shear viscosity, storage (G') and loss (G”) moduli, complex viscosity, and time to gelation using parallel plates, cone and plate, couette, or cup and bob. The MCR300 can also measure steady and dynamic properties of gels during the process of UV-induced gelation with the use of a UV cell. The properties of magnetorheological fluids can also be measured using a magneto-attachment, which uses parallel plates.

Anton-Paar MCR-500:  The MCR500 can measure steady and dynamic shear properties such as steady shear viscosity, storage (G') and loss (G”) moduli, complex viscosity, and time to gelation using parallel plates, cone and plate, couette, or cup and bob. The MCR500 can also measure steady and dynamic properties of gels during the process of UV-induced gelation with the use of a UV cell. The properties of magnetorheological fluids can also be measured using a magneto-attachment, which uses parallel plates. High-pressure rheological properties are also measurable with a high-pressure cell.
